Hi I am Rock Philipa, I know first hand what it is to lose a job, in my case I lost 3 jobs in a day. I was a caregiver who was already in the class of workers living below poverty level. I am also a parent to a special needs person. The COVID lockdown of 2020 meant for me that while other caregivers were having more than enough extra shifts to fill, as being a parent meant having to stay home with kids especially as I am a special needs mom.
I lost 3 jobs in a second. I needed to have an income from a job that will not put me back into the same situation again. A job that will clear all the pains of Limited income, high debt, financial insecurity. Lack of fulfillment. Stagnant skill development. My desire to know more and to pursue my own passion is finally achieved. I am able now to have flexible schedules. I am able to travel around. I have a work-life balance and I have flexibility to pursue my interest. I am more happy that I have a job that I cannot be fired from if you are afraid of being laid off.
